Raised in northeastern Maine, Emily spent her senior year of high school as an exchange student in Germany. She earned a BA in economics and political science, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Clark University in Worcester, MA. In her undergraduate studies, she focused on global and women’s health. Before going to medical school, Dr. Hill spent time in New York City where she worked as a paralegal and a professional baker before enrolling in a post-bacc program at Hunter College. She moved with her family back to Maine to complete medical school.
She went on to complete a family medicine residency at a community hospital that uniquely serves both a rural and urban, underserved demographic. She was fortunate to gain experience in women’s health—including menopause management and family planning—as well as mental health m and addiction medicine. She is continuing her training as a hospice and palliative care fellow at MaineHealth in the 2025-26 academic year. She feels it is a privilege to provide care for the people of Maine.
